The name development includes Folder (Robert Folder being christened at St. Dunstans, Stepney in 1614), whilst Mary Faulder is recorded as marrying Hilton Docker at St. Johns, Eltham in 1814. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Ivo Faulder. which was dated 1332, in the Pipe Rolls of Cumberland. during the reign of King Edward 111 known as 'The Father of the Navy' 1327-1377.
